About

Our lab is located at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), Nansha, China. We are broadly interested in a wide range of topics related to neuroscience, machine learning, and biomedical engineering. Our main focus is to study neural activities in the visual neural system and hippocampus using in vivo electrophysiology and imaging, to investigate the encoding of the outside world by neuronal population activities of the brain during awake and sleeping status, to explore the neural mechanism of spatial navigation, visual perception, and learning and memory.

Research Directions

Joint encoding of binocular vision in the visual cortex and hippocampus.
Neural Mechanisms of Visual Cortex and Hippocampus for Spatial Navigation in Mice
Neural Mechanism of the Hippocampus Processing Visual Information in a Disease State
